What W32/MyDoom-O virus can do?

  • A process attempted to delay the analysis task.
  • Attempts to connect to a dead IP:Port (27 unique times)
  • Starts servers listening on 0.0.0.0:1034
  • Reads data out of its own binary image
  • Drops a binary and executes it
  • Performs some HTTP requests
  • The binary likely contains encrypted or compressed data.
  • The executable is compressed using UPX
  • Steals private information from local Internet browsers
  • A system process is generating network traffic likely as a result of process injection
  • Installs itself for autorun at Windows startup
  • Exhibits possible ransomware file modification behavior
  • Attempts to modify proxy settings
  • Creates a copy of itself
  • Harvests information related to installed mail clients
  • Makes SMTP requests, possibly sending spam or exfiltrating data.
  • Creates a slightly modified copy of itself

How to remove W32/MyDoom-O?
